The results for the first question show a strong inclination towards organic gardening, with a combined 86.70% of respondents either gardening organically (33.40%) or striving to do so as much as they can (53.30%). This significant figure highlights a conscious shift towards more sustainable practices among gardeners, reflecting a growing awareness and commitment to eco-friendly gardening methods. The responses to the second question further underscore the environmental concerns prevalent among gardeners. The high percentage of gardeners worried about the inability to recycle garden plastics (67.07%) and the use of chemicals and pesticides (72.32%) suggests a deep-seated awareness about the impact of gardening practices on the environment. Concerns about the overharvesting of natural resources like peat and coir (57.77%) and the excessive use of garden plastics (54.24%) also reflect an overarching desire for more sustainable and environmentally responsible gardening solutions.
